Mission
The Buckeye Sports Festival is the Annual Amateur Sport Games of Ohio. It is run by a small organization dedicated to the development of grass roots sports competition and the promotion of long term, healthy, active lifestyles for all Ohioans and particularly our participating athletes. We seek and encourage sponsorship alliances with companies and brands that believe in our core values of wellness, self-worth, achievement, teamwork, fair play and community.
Vision
Soon after its inaugural year, The Buckeye Sports Festival will apply to the National Congress of State Games. The NCSG is a membership organization of 37 Summer State Games and 14 Winter State Games organizations and a community-based member of the of the United States Olympic Committee. The NCSG is also the rights holder of the State Games of America, an Olympic-style event featuring competition between State Games medal winners (gold, silver, bronze), from across the nation.
Each year, The BSF competition committee will evaluate the games and assess the viability of adding or deleting sports. In 2008, it is anticipated that the following sports will be added: swimming, tennis, softball, baseball, golf.
